# The Biggest Project We Have Done ## *We want to host a Student-only Hackathon!* ## ✏️ Why – * Most existing hackathons weren’t beginner-friendly, and many projects submitted are pre-built by experienced engineers or startups, *making it hard for students to participate and learn* * *There has never been a student-only blockchain hackathon anywhere else in the world.* We believe hosting one aligns with our vision to “show the world that Taiwanese students can build!” * This is the most effective way to *launch XueDAO into the industry spotlight* and connect student builders with global industry resources ## 🌠 How – Preparation from Three Dimensions 1. **STUDENTS** We traveled across campuses from north to south, promoting XueDAO and our hackathon directly in classrooms—students sharing with students and encouraging more to explore Web3. We’ve visited universities like NTU, NCKU, NTUT, and NCTU, collaborating with NTU CS & CSIE through our contributors’ network to host sharing sessions. We even reached out to professors via cold emails to secure opportunities to present in class.

2. **CONNECT WITH SPONSORS AND INDUSTY PARTNERS** * We partnered with hackathon track sponsors to design tracks and set up prize pools. What makes the CONNECT Hackathon special and beginner-friendly is the inclusion of an “Ideathon”—students aren’t required to build something on-chain; they can simply present their ideas. 3. **TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS** After bringing together student developers, we organized a series of workshops to help students build both technical and soft skills for the hackathon. We hosted sessions ourselves, including Solidity 101, DApp front-end workshops, and even hackathon pitch training led by speakers from AWS.

## 🌄 The day we turned idea into reality **HACKATHON SPRINT CAMP -** We provided a dedicated venue for two full days, giving students the chance to hack alongside mentors. Track sponsors were present in person to offer support, and we made sure everyone had food and drinks throughout the event

## 🎉 What - Key Hackathon Metric In less than three months of preparation, we turned ideas into action—we built and connected.
